The Menu
The Butcher Shop & Grill uses "Aged Meat". Our meat is hung in carcass for up to 3 days, thereafter the Rump, Sirloin, Fillet, Rib-Eye, T-Bone and Prime Rib are "Wet Aged" for approximately 21 days.
Any special requests for larger cuts will be individually cut at our in-house butchery (meat counter), weighed and charged pro rata to the menu price.
SA beef is leaner in natural fat (11%) than beef from the USA (33%) and Europe (23%). As a result meat cooked past medium tends to dry out quickly, in particular fillet. We cannot accept responsibility for any steaks cooked over medium.

The Butcher Shop & Grill move in excess of 800 fresh Oysters a day, making us one of the largest "Shuckers" in town! We have wild and cultivated Oysters flown up from the coast daily. Please ask your waitron for more information.
